Big Beat have provided sound for most of South Africa's leading rock and gospel acts. These include the Parlotones, Prime Circle, Wonderboom, Watershed, Goldfish and Freshly Ground. We have also worked with the likes of Ladysmith Black Mabaso, Ernie Smith and Dan Patlansky amongst others. We did sound for Johnny Clegg (who has a very complex technical requirement) at Crossways, Hilton, at the end of November 2009.Big Beat have invested in the equipment necessary to have a successful and glitch-free show - where you are only as strong as your weakest link. There are a number of dynamic elements to a live show, including stage size and height, monitors, backline, microphone specification, front-of-house control, power, lighting, video and projection. With a number of systems running side by side it is critical to have a well planned and executed running order of system placement and checking. The bottom line is that the musician's performance can either be enhanced or reduced by the technical team. A happy musician leads to a sparkling performance.
